The VIA Group Wins Top Award in Category at 2006 EFFIE Awards Ceremony

The agency’s “How Far Will You Go?” campaign for Infinity Broadcasting, now CBS RADIO, bests DDB Chicago

Portland, Maine, June 8, 2006 – Last night at a gala dinner and awards program the 2006 EFFIEs were awarded. The VIA Group was one of a handful of agencies to win best of category awards. The agency won in the category of Print and Electronic Media. The award-winning “How Far Will You Go?” campaign featured photography of icons like Iggy Pop, Bob Marley and the Dave Matthews Band. The effectiveness of the campaign in driving ad sales for CBS RADIO with remarkable creative is evidenced in this top-of-category award.

Introduced by the New York American Marketing Association in 1968, the EFFIE Awards have since expanded to 30 countries on five continents worldwide. This year’s EFFIEs honored the most effective marketing communications campaigns of 2006. An EFFIE is the most significant award in the advertising industry because it honors the one truly significant achievement in advertising: results.

Top agency talent from around the country was represented in the competition. VIA joins this year’s winners composed primarily of much larger agencies. The agency was one of the few independents to take home awards. Winners in 2006 included McCann Erickson; TBWA\Chiat\Day; Fallon; Saatchi & Saatchi; Goodby, Silverstein Partners; BBDO; and Ogilvy & Mather.
